Syrgis Performance Initiators (SPI), a manufacturer of organic peroxides for the thermoset industry, is working to provide enhanced value to FRP converters. The company recently opened a new laboratory and development reactor facility, strengthened its global technical and sales support teams and have implemented the Syrgis Gate process for accelerating innovation.
Syrgis has also introduced the Syrging Ahead Award, which will recognise customers that are capitalising on chemistry and the company’s offerings to make significant strides in the areas of safety, environmental, quality, process advancement or novel applications. Several companies have already received Syrging Ahead awards, for process improvements (i.e. increasing line speed by more than 100% or reducing cycle times by 40%), new product capabilities (commercializing an 8.5 m diameter pipe, with improved quality and safety), and for quality improvements (reducing rework by 75%).
